Tis a common thing we see on Facebook.

People lamenting the fact that they’ve undone all their good work.

That after all the ‘hard work’ it took to lose X amount of weight.

They’ve quickly regained it over a ‘bad’ weekend, week or holiday.

And pointing out how ‘unfair’ that is.

Now imagine I wanted to develop a programme for people who wanted to gain fat ASAP.

It would probably involve a high sugar and starch, low fat, low protein breakfast.

Cereal, toast and juice would work perfectly.

Something starch based for lunch and tea.

Sandwich, pasta, potatoes, pizza, etc.

Some takeouts packed full of crappy chemicals.

Loads of alcohol would help too.

Plenty of caffeine as well.

Some diet soft drinks to confuse the brain.

Now imagine you went on this ‘weight gain plan’.

Specifically designed to help you gain weight.

And you rapidly gained weight.

Would you be surprised?

Would you message me and let me know “I was surprised your weight gain programme worked so well”?

A daft parallel, as they often are.

But makes you think, doesn’t it?

If you do things that make you fat, you will get fat.

Simple as.

If you can change your way of perceiving this way of eating from how most people do, it becomes  a much less appealing way of living.

The usual way of describing it of;

“Having a weekend off” or

“Going back to ‘normal’ eating for a few days” or

“Not worrying about what I’m eating for a while”

Become…….

“I’m going to follow a fat gaining programme for the next few days”

Much less appealing, no?

As always with these things, starts forced…….

Becomes natural the more times you do it.

But you know one way of making sure that mindset definitely doesn’t change and you continue to follow ‘fat gaining programmes’?

Not even trying.

Much love,
