Pre COVID people used to come to a monthly find out more meeting and then got started with us.

For the last few years I’ve done phone calls with people before they start.

I find it works much better with getting clear on their goals, what we need to put in place to support them, etc.

These calls can get pretty deep.

People telling me about how unhappy they are with their current situation.

I usually ask “on a scale of 1-10, how important are making these changes to you?”.

And many reply with “10”.

“I’ll do whatever it takes” and phrases like it aren’t uncommon.

When looking at what they can do beyond “just coming to the Sessions”, I’ll start with something relatively easy and not overly time consuming.

Maybe tracking their food or use of time.

Touching Base on the app and setting a weekly RISE Plan that’s worthwhile but takes into account the challenges of that week and that I’ll hold them accountable to.

Having a look at the Learn tab to get clear on what will get them the results they desire and their easiest wins.

All take seconds or minutes.

Some do them.

Some don’t.

Some say “Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it”.

Like what I’d tell them to do would be all that different to what they’ve been told to do before and struggled with.

Same list of instructions that hasn’t worked for them before.
