Research shows that if someone is obese, the chance of that person’s close friends being obese is three times as high as when they aren’t obese.

The same applies when they smoke.

And alcohol consumption (I blame the wife for my drinking).

And to marriage, shaking hands as a greeting, if you invest, the type of house you live in and so on.

You’re considerably more likely to do anything and everything if those around you do.

What you see the most becomes your ‘standard’.

Now, I assume you’re not reading this blog because you want to stop smoking or change how you greet people.

But you get the point,

There’s an expression “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”

It doesn’t mean you need to remove people from your life.

Although that does, some times, happen when people start with us.

You can take some on the journey you’d like to go on.

Help each other along the way.

You can just add in extra people you spend time with (like us –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

You get the point.

See where you can make what you’re ‘catching’ from those around you a bit better 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘I’m sure the wife blames me’ Hall and Matt ‘Fist bump’ Nicholson
