Have you ever started a new weight loss / health / fitness regime………

 

You know – gym, slimming club, diet, etc………

 

And loved it to start with………..

 

Been enthusiastic about it……….

 

Enjoying it more than you thought you might……..

 

Getting good results……….

 

And then a few months later………..

 

You find you’ve stopped?

 

You can’t quite put your finger on it.

 

But, gradually, other thing started to ‘get in the way’.

 

Things that, in reality, were no more or less prevalent in your life before.

 

So, you go back to your old habits for a while.

 

At some point (maybe it’s January again) you find you’ve undone all the good work and start again.

 

Enjoying it to start with.

 

Getting result again.

 

And then, the same happens again.

 

Year after year………

 

Decade after decade……….

 

One step forward, two steps back.

What went wrong?

 

Why did you stop?

 

Chances are, you just lost enthusiasm for it, no?

 

It went from being exciting and new………

 

To, well, a bit boring.

 

Didn’t it?

 

It stopped being ‘sexy’.

 

So we jump to the new, exciting, sexy thing.

 

Till that becomes mundane too.

Whilst we are all about having fun down here at RISE………

 

At the same time it is useful for people to come to the realisation……….

 

That it won’t always be ‘sexy’……..

 

That it won’t be like in films……..

 

There won’t be music playing in the back ground and colours filling the screen.

 

That the ultimate results come from a combination of finding something you do generally enjoy…….

 

And keeping going when you don’t feel like it.

 

When’s it’s not feeling sexy.

 

When you don’t quite feel like it.

 

That’s the key!
