In the summer of 1991 I went on holiday to a campsite somewhere in France with my family.

Having mangled the end of my big toe messing about on a 10 seater bike thing with some other kids, I was limited to what I could do for the rest of the week.

So I frittered away the rest of my spends in the site arcade.

There was one game I particularly enjoyed, I remember.

Having just spent a disproportionate amount of time on YouTube trying to figure out what it was, I’m fairly sure it was ‘Streets of Rage’.

I kept getting defeated by the same end of level boss though.

Working hard to get back to the same point each day when I had my next spends.

I think I was pretty much down to my last 10 francs when I watched some other kid get past him and then be defeated at some point further on.

As he skulked off in frustration, I approached the machine and popped my coins in before the ‘Continue?’ countdown hit zero.

A bit naughty I know.

And I got some grief from the kid and his mates.

But I finished the game.

And, for that brief moment, my life was complete.

Life can be a bit like that sometimes can’t it?

Getting defeated time and time again by the same challenges.

Getting progressively more frustrated.

But, the good news is………..

Our greatest breakthroughs can be on the other side of these ‘bosses’.

Only by keeping going……….

And, maybe, getting a bit of ‘help’ along the way………..

Will it happen.

Challenges are normal.

Getting beaten by the same ones more than once is fine.

But, at some point……….

If we’re going to get anywhere……….

We need to get past them!

If you’re already a member, we can be your ‘help’ getting past these points.

Talk to us.

Use the systems.

Stay engaged.

If you’re not a member and are tired of getting beaten by that same boss time and time again………. myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting
