As I mentioned on Friday, I moved house late last year.

As we were packing, we were clearing out a load of stuff to not take with us.

You know, stuff the kids had grown out of, things we hadn’t used for ages, bits that were going to be replaced in the new house.

I popped most of it on Facebook.

Those free groups for buying and selling things in the local area.

I was inundated with messages for much of it.

Most went within hours for the asking price as I hadn’t asked for a lot.

But I was taken aback by the number of messages along the lines of;

“I’ve been wanting one of those for ages. Will you take £X” where X was only a pound or two less than I was asking.

Prime example was a floating bookshelf we took down from Jamie’s new room.

Because it was “too girly” for him.

Pretty hefty it was.

Probably cost a hundred odd quid new.

Only asking for a tenner.

And they really wanted it.

But wouldn’t go above eight quid.

I know people have limited budgets.

We all do.

And it’s always worth trying to haggle.

But to deprive yourself over something you really want over a pound or two seems such a shame.

It’s the same with getting in shape.

I get that there are cheaper options out there than us.

Enjoy Exercise

And that we all have finite budgets.

And if someone can get the same results (and level of enjoyment) doing them, then why not?

Save a few pounds.

Enjoy Exercise

But if someone’s denying themselves the results (and enjoyment) to save themselves a pound or so a day?

That makes me sad.

So, if you’re an existing ninja and thinking of trying something else to save a little, please only do it if you are 100% confident that you’ll maintain results and enjoyment. If you will still enjoy exercise.

If you haven’t been getting the results you’d like, then maybe give us a go?

You might find that pound or so a day saving wasn’t worth it?

Much love,

P.S. I’d like to clarify I haven’t shown my 7 year old Silence Of The Lambs. He came up with that all by himself.
