We’re at a point in history where it’s never been easier to see what other people are up to.
Between the news and social media we can constantly see curated highlights of other people’s lives.
To the point where it can often make us feel bad about our own lives.
And whilst there can be benefit to selectively learning from others………
We’ll always benefit the most from learning from our own actions.
Questioning why we do certain things.
Looking at approaches that are knowingly sub-optimal but work better for us.
Trying on for size new ways of seeing certain situations.
New mindset and beliefs.
We’ve already changed and grown from the person we were 10 years ago, so why think that we’re the finished article now?
Not beating ourselves up, but selectively asking better questions of ourselves to lead to better answers (one of things we do differently rather than just giving you the same old answers to the same old questions –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) .
Less time looking at others, more time looking at ourselves.
Less windows, more mirrors.
Much love,
Jon ‘Jon on the wall’ Hall
