A huge realisation I made a few years ago is that all emotions have their place.

None of them exist for no reason.

They’re often a perfectly understandable reactions to what we’re experiencing.

No emotions are “bad”.

Some are definitely unpleasant.

And maybe we would like to feel them less frequently and deeply.

But they all have their place.

Telling ourselves that feeling a certain emotion is wrong and shouldn’t be happening is just going to make things worse.

We can consider that anxiety is the emotion of growth.

It shows that we’re uncomfortable because we’re pushing ourselves.

That we care about what we’re doing and what’s going on in our lives and want to make It go a certain way.

If we avoid situations that create anxiety, we just create more anxiety for ourselves long-term with a life that we’re less happy with.

Avoiding discomfort creates discomfort.

In many cases, the more we accept our different emotions and swim down the stream of life with them……..

Rather than battling against them……….

The smoother that journey can be (it’s www.myrise.co.uk/apply for a smoother than you ever thought possible health / fitness / weight loss journey (with a Money Back Guarantee).

Much love,
