I was chatting to one of our ninjas Shane the other day.

He’s been doing the Advanced programme recently.

I asked how he was getting on.

He explained he’d been steadily adding a half a kilo or so each session to his weights.

Which, over the last few months, had made a significant change to what he’s capable of.

He then told me a story that his Dad once told him.

About carrying a pig round each day as it got bigger and heavier.

I don’t know if he was offering a different version of the ‘Milos and the bull’ fable……..

Of if Shane’s Dad had actually wandered round with a pig.

I hope the latter 🙂

Either way, the point is the same.

Steady, incremental improvements………

Add up to huge progress over time.

Not just in the weights you can lift.

In how fit you are.

How good you feel.

The shape and definition of muscles.

Levels of body fat.

Health.

And so on.

The size of the journey ahead can sometimes be dispiriting.

The size of the pig / bull that needs lift can appear too much.

Start with a ‘little one’ (such as clicking this link 😉 –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

Let it ‘grow’ over time.

And you’ll get there 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘Phinnius I’ Hall and Matt ‘Henry O’ Nicholson

P.S. 5 points for those middle names – pretty obscure!
