One of the most interesting things about being Facebook friends with the majority of our ninjas………..

Is that you get to see some of the stuff their Facebook friends comment on their posts about RISE.

Mostly are supportive.

Some not so much.

I saw a good one the other day that I’ve seen (or a variation of) countless times over the years.

On a post by Claire, one of our ninjas.

“Stop being weird” it said.

With regards to what she was talking about food and exercise wise.

I saw Claire shortly after when she came in for a session.

And I said what I’m going to say to you now.

“Weird is good”

In a world in which most people are getting fatter, lower in energy, sicker, grumpier and more ill……….

Week on week……….

Being weird is to be encouraged.

Who wants to follow the crowd………

When the crowd is slowly poisoning itself.

And is miserable a lot of the time.

I’m not saying everyone who doesn’t exercise and eat well is like this before I get angry replies.

And I know people who exercise and eat well aren’t automatically healthy and happy all the time.

But all the research shows that, on average, as a population, were becoming more and more all of those things as time moves on.

And that what we eat and the exercise we do (or don’t) is, at least, a huge factor in that.

Ultimately, everyone is free to live their lives as they please.

If you’re happy with your decisions, that’s brilliant.

Don’t let anyone ever make you feel guilty for them.

That’s not my intention.

And, if it was, you should ignore me.

But……….

Never feel the need to follow the crowd.

Don’t feel the need to be normal.

Because, in my opinion at least, normal nowadays isn’t anything to aim for!

Much love,

Jon ‘Ab’ Hall and Matt ‘Para’ Nicholson
