I mentioned yesterday about having a proper structured plan for the things that we want to achieve.
About breaking down the steps and scheduling when and how they’ll be taken.
And I know that a lot of people will find that kind of talk off putting.
Because I once did.
A part of me still does
There is that feeling that structure and planning is restrictive.
That it takes away our freedom.
That we like to “stay flexible”.
Maybe “go with flow”.
And that’s great………
When “the flow” is taking us in a direction that we want to go in.
Which, let’s be honest with ourselves, it’s often isn’t.
A powerful change in the way we think that benefits us is………
Realising that planning and structure doesn’t remove freedom………
It creates it.
We get done the things that we need to get done as quickly and and as efficiently as possible.
We create more time, energy and focus for the other things that we value.
We live our life more and more in line with the way we want it to be.
We do more of the stuff that we want to do but that hadn’t previously been happening when it was essentially ‘left to chance’.
Look, I get it.
There’s a part of me that hates sitting down and working through my goals and plans.
When the wife and I have our planning meetings, there’s a little part of me wretching inside.
But when the things that are planned come to fruition………
It’s always, always worth it (www.myrise.co.uk/apply) when you ready to actually get those changes you say you want)
Much love,
