———————-

Imagine your friend told you s/he had been having problems with their car.

Not running as well as they’d like.

Bit slower and less responsive than they’d like.

Breaking down more often than is ideal.

Looking like it might not last as long as it could.

You asked them a few questions.

And soon found the problem.

They’d been putting the wrong fuel in it most of the time.

When you asked why they explained that the garage near them only sold that fuel and it was cheaper than the fuel at the further away garages.

So they’d have to spend more time and money to get the right fuel.

What would you say?

“I get that, but it’s more than worth it for the car to run better and last longer” maybe?

Or “Why not sort your fuel out in advance, when you’re passing the other station, rather than waiting till the last minute and only having that option?”

I’m sure you have the parallel here.

We get that eating better can be less convenient.

And, sometimes, cost more.

Not always though.

We can eat better for less time and money if we plan ahead.

But, even if it does cost more (in both ways)………….

It’s probably worth it.

Imagine you’d always eaten in a way that had given you the body you wanted.

The appearance, feel, energy levels and so on.

And it had required a certain amount of time, effort and money.

A friend comes to you and says “I have a new way of eating”.

“It’ll mean you don’t need to plan ahead as much. And it’ll save you a few minutes and pounds here and there”.

“But you’re going to have to gain weight, like the look and feel of your body less, have less energy and more. Would you like to try it?”

Like a friend offering a new, closer and cheaper garage that sold the wrong fuel……………

What would your answer be?

Much love,

Jon ‘Doors’ Hall and Matt ‘Speed’ Nicholson
