I know from talking to members that they often find it difficult to describe what we do to their friends.

Someone will say “Tell me about RISE”.

And there is something like “Well it’s kind of a gym. But it’s not a gym. In that you go there for a workout. But it’s not like when you go to a gym and there’s just some equipment. It’s a bit like classes. But there not classes. It’s more like having a Personal Trainer with you. But in a group. And they give you lots of help with the other stuff. You know food and all that. Not just telling you what to do like other places might. But actually helping you do it and make it a habit”

People often say that they feel bad that they struggle to describe what we do.

Which I get.

We always intended to put ourselves “in a category of one”.

To not be like anyone else.

Because that part of the market is very well catered for.

Like going to the gym and just want some equipment?

There’s tonnes of options and has been for decades.

Just want a random beasting?

Loads of places do that too.

We do ‘transformations’.

The clue’s in the name.

Big, lasting changes to body and life in general.

Leisure centres mainly do leisure.

“Use of free time for enjoyment” as the dictionary says.

Gym are defined as “A place, typically a private club, providing a range of facilities designed to improve and maintain physical fitness and health.”.

Just stuff – equipment, etc.

Other places round here market themselves as things like;

“Increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains.”

Or “physical and physiological development of an individual for a specific need or goal”

All perfectly valid if that’s what you want.

If you’ve ever thought you’d like to increase your “work capacity across broad time and modal domains” or be developed for a specific need or goal, then you’re good to go 🙂

But, we’ll carry on doing transformations.

Want to make substantial and lasting changes to your body and life?

You know who to call.
