Do you remember when you were a teenager……

And you first started practising your signature?

If you were like me, you tried various ways of doing it.

Different angles of lines.

Little swooshes here and there.

Getting ideas from the way others did it.

Until, eventually, you settled on the signature you have now.

Which you’ve probably been doing the same for years.

Or decades.

No real reason that’s the way you have to sign your name.

Just a habit you settled into after trying a few different ways.

But you’ve done it so many times now, it’s kind of ‘stuck’.

It’s a bit like most of our habits.

The way we eat.

How we feel about exercise.

How we handle stress.

Our bed time routine.

There’s often no real, cast-iron reason there are the way they are.

Or if there was a real reason, it probably no longer applies.

What we call ‘Permanent solutions to temporary problems’.

So, there’s no real reason you can’t change any of these.

Like changing a signature, it won’t be easy.

You’d probably keep slipping back into the old way of doing it quite a bit.

Especially initially.

But every time you did it the new way, it would stick a little more.

Until you looked back and realised you hadn’t done it the old way for ages.

The only way to master doing it the new way is to keep trying.

So – want to change your habits?

Then just get started.

The only way to get the hang of healthy eating and regular, effective exercise……….

Is to eat healthily and do regular, effective exercise.

Much love,
