I talked yesterday about how tiredness can affect our mood.

How getting more sleep can sometimes (often) help how frequently and deeply we might feel emotions such as depression (and anxiety).

Another thing that I find helps……..

And is also often overlooked……..

Is being less bored.

I often ask people “What are you most looking forward to this week?”

Or “What was the best part of last week?”

And if we struggle to answer those questions…….

Or say “Nothing” or “The end of it”……….

Then I’m pretty sure our average mood isn’t quite where we’d like it to be.

– Setting plans

– Chasing targets

– Having thanks that we’re doing that we’re enthusiastic about

– Having fun stuff lined up

– Not taking the everyday good for granted

– Concentrating less on the 10% that’s not gone quite as we’d like and more on the 90% that’s gone fine

– Daily appreciation

All of these things help create a life we enjoy more.

If we currently struggle to answer questions like “What are you most looking forward to this week?” and “What was the best part of last week?”……….

Then getting to the point where we can is something that I’m pretty sure will have a positive effect on our mood / mental health (as will clicking this link —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply)

Much love,
