Inertia is the killer

I’ve got a few podcasts I listen to.

Mainly for enjoyment.

I used to listen to more businessey type ones.

But I changed that a number of year back.

Realised that it was too general.

Almost too much information of which I didn’t use most.

I now source specific answers to specific questions / problems.

Investing in specific courses, mentoring or education to solve the exact issue.

But, that’s by the by.

One podcast I like is called ‘Something To Wrestle’.

It’s with a host and a guy called Bruce Prichard who was one of the right hand men in WWF / WWE from 1988 to 2008.

I like hearing the interesting backstage stories from stuff I remember from my youth.

There’s a phrase he references quite a lot.

One that would be used in backstage meetings.

When you wanted to float an idea.

An idea that, perhaps, was little “left field”.

And you didn’t want to be ridiculed for.

You just wanted to put it out there.

And not necessarily nailing your name to that mast.

“What if……….?”

With a suggestion to upcoming feuds, matches, etc.

I quite like it.

As a way to float ideas.

Maybe to others.

Maybe to ourselves.

Starting a conversation either way.

Possibly just in our own heads.

“What if……… I had a workout today?”

What would that look like?

What would need to happen?

What would be the best approach?

How would that work out the best?

How could I use what I have available (time, space, equipment, organisation, planning, etc) to make that happen?

What might get in the way of it happening?

How could I plan ahead for that?

Just sayin’

Just floating the idea.

“What if……….. I made some better food choices today?”

“What if……….. I tracked my food with MyFitnessPal today?”

“What if……….. I thought ahead a little and planned what I was going to eat today to stay in deficit / maintenance?”

And so on.

Just a little question.

What if?
