I was recently going through some old paperwork.

When people apply for our programme at the end of the briefing meeting they put a comment as to why they want to do it.

## Note, we do application only because it helps keep the great, welcoming, intimidation free atmosphere and fun group dynamic that we’ve created. Check ?? if you like the sound of that. Find out more meeting for the January programme is tomorrow night now –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting ##

And I started flicking through reading some of the comments people had made.

Now, our retention is pretty good for the industry.

We’re always working hard to make it ever better, of course.

But it’s way better than the industry average.

However, people do leave.

And after being open nearly 64 months, that steady trickle adds up to a lot of ex-members.

## Note: All facilities have people leave. We’re just honest enough to talk about it and not pretend it doesn’t happen. If our competitors retention is so great, why are they still on 40 or 50 members and struggling to pay the bills? ##

Many of our leavers are genuine, unavoidable, logistical reasons.

Relocation, change of circumstances, etc.

The rest nearly always give cost as the reason.

They decide to do something cheaper to save money.

And when I see what they said on their application forms, it makes me feel we’ve failed them to some degree.

That we haven’t helped them see the value in investing in themselves sufficiently.

Sure, some people’s income and / or outgoings change and they genuinely can’t afford to continue,

We get that.

But having people as Facebook friends suggests that’s not the case for many.

From being thoroughly miserable with life when they joined……….

To making some great forward progress………..

To levelling off a bit………..

Then trying to do something cheaper to save a pound or so a day…………

To going back to being thoroughly miserable……….

When that pound odd a day is still available………..

Makes us sad.

We know what we do costs more than joining a gym.

Budget gyms particularly.

But it’s way less than the equivalent amount of Personal Training.

With, I’d like to think, way better results than most 1:1 PTs.

If you’re already with us, I hope you think your investment is worthwhile.

If not, talk to us and we’ll do our best to make sure you soon do 🙂

If you haven’t tried us out yet, and you’re ready to invest a little more to actually get a life changing result, rather than just rent access to some equipment again, then you might like to click here. That find out more meeting is link again –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting. It’s tomorrow night. No salesy stuff, no intimidation, just see if we’re a good fit for each other 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘Dotty’ Hall and Matt’ Hi-Fi’ Nicholson

P.S. Particularly hard middle names there. 10 points if you get them. Without googling. Or ‘Yahooing’ AJ 🙂
