I learned something new over Christmas.
From a post I saw on Facebook.
About, as I’m sure you’ve guessed from the blog title, the origins of the name of WD40.
A “Multi-Use Product protects metal from rust and corrosion, penetrates stuck parts, displaces moisture and lubricates almost anything” in case you didn’t know.
It stands for “water displacement formula 40”.
As in they’d had 39 unsuccessful attempts to get it to work before that.
Because things very rarely go right the first time for any of us.
Thomas Edison supposedly took over 1,000 different attempts to create the light bulb.
“I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps” he famously said.
It often only takes one successful attempt.
Usually finally achieved after multiple attempts that didn’t go to plan.
If our efforts to lose weight, and make any other changes to our body, haven’t worked long-term before, they only need to work long-term the next time.
The same with any other things we want to just change in our life.
They weren’t ‘failures’.
They were steps to success.
But only if we keep taking those steps (and you can take the best step you’ll ever take at www.myrise.co.uk/apply) .
Much love,
Jon ‘CW43’ Hall
