We’ve all heard the saying “Winner never quit. Quitters never win” I’m sure?

But, is it true?

Does anyone ever “never quit”?

Surely not?

Why ‘Winners Never Quit’ Doesn’t Make Sense

If we never quit anything we’d still be doing every activity we’d ever undertaken.

All the stuff we did as kids.

Every job we’ve ever had.

Still with our first boy or girlfriend.

Impossible, obviously.

We have to quit at certain things to free resources for other stuff.

Why would we carry on with something we weren’t enjoying?

What’s the point in banging our heads against a brick wall if it’s not working?

Winners Never Quit

Winners DO Quit

From my experience, winners quit at plenty of stuff.

And quit quickly.

Realising what’s worth their while and what isn’t.

And seeing though certain key things that are worth their while.

Even when it’s the last thing they feel like doing.

That’s what leads to success.

Not stopping on certain key things and happily quitting other, less important stuff.

And, possibly most importantly, not constantly stopping and restarting on the same things over and over again.

When we’re going to quit we should quit with the intention of never going back.

Like we would on a job or relationship.

How Our Personal Training Courses Can Help

But, if’s not something we intend to permanently stop (looking after our health for example)……….

Then that’s when it’s worth doubling down and sticking with it even when it’s gets tough (that’s what we do, help people get through those tricky bits. Check out how RISE in Macclesfield can help you through our unique personal training methods if you haven’t already and like the sound of that. The monthly find-out-more meeting is tomorrow night now).

Remember, when someone says ‘winners never quit’, it’s not true. Quitting is fine.

It’s the repeatedly stopping and restarting that doesn’t make sense.

Much love,

P.S. Too easy for middle points for my name. 2 for Matt’s though 🙂
