Imagine you’ve taken on a financial adviser.

Someone you pay money to to help you make better financial choices to, hopefully, increase your ‘wealth’.

They tell you to get a Starbucks every morning.

Because they do.

To move into a house the same value as theirs.

To shop where they do.

Stop spending money on stuff they don’t spend on.

Charge the same hourly rate as them.

And so on.

To do what they did to get their income and outgoings to where that is at.

“But I don’t like Starbucks and am happy with where I live” you might reply.

Which is understandable.

You don’t want to live exactly the same life they do.

You just want make some adjustments to your current lifestyle that will enable improvements in a specific area.

Like when you go and see a FitPro (like us).

And they usually tell you to workout and eat in the same way they do.

Because it works for them.

Train every day.

For hours on end.

Doing complex exercises that confuse and slightly scare you.

And might not be the best thing for that nagging knee / back / hurty body part.

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a price and tea like a pauper…………

When you can’t stomach much food early doors (and / or don’t want to get up any earlier).

Maybe cut out entire food groups, caffeine and alcohol.

And so.

These can all perfectly valid methods.

And they will have undoubtedly worked for said FitPro.

Their endless (filtered) #fitspos on Insta being evidence of this.

But, like the financial adviser telling you to spend your money in the same way as them, it’s not necessarily the best approach for you.

Understand what essential ‘principals’ need to be achieved for your goal (calorie deficit / maintenance, maybe sufficient protein, regular progressive overload exercise that’s somewhere between tolerable and enjoyable will probably do it)…………..

And, perhaps, talk to an ‘adviser’ like ourselves about how you could best implement ‘methods’ to enable you to live a life you’re happy living that will get you the results you desire (either have a chat next time we see you or book in come and check out what we do –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting).

Much love,

P.S. Only one person on this entire mailing list will get that middle name, but it’ll make him smile 🙂
